Terry Bison Ranch

Take a tour on one of their custom-built trains to see ostriches, camels, and a bison herd, and hand-feed the bison.  Tours are every day and depart at 9:00am, 10:30am, Noon, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 4:30pm and 6:00pm June through August. The rest of the year tours are at 9:00am, Noon, and 3:00pm, except for Christmas Day

Cheyenne ArtWalk

Art Tour takes place on the second Thursday of the month from 5 to 8 p.m. It’s a fun way to experience food and art in Cheyenne and lets you talk to artists and even try your hand at some art activities. Visit local galleries and studios, meet artists, see demonstrations and hear live music. 

Ames Monument

The Ames Monument is a 60-foot-high granite pyramid located in southeastern Albany County, Wyoming.  It is dedicated to Oakes Ames and Oliver Ames, two Massachusetts brothers who were extremely influential in constructing the nation’s first Transcontinental Railroad.  It was placed at the highest point on the Transcontinental Railroad and serves as a reminder of that great enterprise.

Cheyenne Depot Museum

Designated a National Historic Landmark, this former Union Pacific Depot has been restored to its original glory.  Home to a visitor center and restaurant, the Depot also features the Cheyenne Depot Museum, rich with railroad history, exhibits and interactive displays.

Big Boy Steam Locomotive

The world’s largest steam locomotive, this powerful coal-fired engine was designed to pull a 3600-ton train over steep grades between Cheyenne, WY and Ogden, Utah.  The 4004 is one of the eight remaining Big Boys on display throughout the country. On display year-round in Holliday Park. The engine is in the southeast corner of the park. You can park your car in the lot accessible from East 17th Street and Morrie Avenue.

Frontier Days™ Old West Museum

Exhibiting the rich history of the “Daddy of ’em All,”® the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum also features some of the most intriguing western artifacts in the region, including one of the most extensive collections of carriages on display in the CFD Old West Museum that chronicle the colorful pioneer history of Cheyenne and the expansion of the American West.

Wrangler

Home to some sort of retail outlet since its erection in 1892, the main building was joined with an adjacent former hotel sometime in the 1960s. (The upper floors of the main building itself were also formerly a hotel.) Together the two buildings give you about 13,000 square feet of ranchwear and Western clothing, hats, boots and accessories to choose from.
